Indonesia's Budget Airlines

Indonesian Budget Airlines

Indonesia is experiencing a quiet revolution in economic and part of that was the opening of the skies of Indonesia to the low-budget airlines. This has fueled a change in the most Indonesians travel destinations and opened previously unknown to local tourism. Before that Indonesia had a policy of open skies, most Indonesians used to travel long journeys on the bus or boat. For many immigrants who flocked to the cities in the nation, this often means traveling for days to get home to see their loved ones. All that changed, like many other destinations have opened, and the airports were opened in the most remote and unlikely places. Indonesian media are on the move, as air travel remain low relative to prices, largely driven by international cheap oil in the country.

This quiet revolution in the Indonesian air travel, has not been without its critics. During the early days of deregulation, some airlines born ticket sales cheap, but cut back on safety to make a profit. Adam Air has been an infamous example, but after a plane simply disappeared into the sea, and various accidents. They were closed. The days of hearing the 'wild west' of the domestic flight in Indonesia has changed. The security measures have meant that ticket prices have increased but so has the choice of destinations and more domestic airlines can now fly back to Europe and other parts of the world.

There are more than half a dozen low-cost airlines in Indonesia. Some are regional, transporting workers from far off in the province of Riau Islands, the national airlines that bends all the major cities in Indonesia. Some airlines specialize in the most remote destinations, tourism and opening them to revitalize their local economy, offering weekend packages to the exotic Indonesian, and destinations previously overlooked. Promoting local businesses and connects the local population for cheaper trade routes. Sukarno-Hatta airport in Jakarta, is the main hub for regional domestic airlines, and more like a luxury bus terminal today, with tennis food at affordable prices, and a wide range of safe transportation for the city.

But it has Batam in Riau, or Sulewesi in Makassar, and a wide range of smaller airports as airport Surakarta Central Java, which has flights to Singapore and Malaysia. Indonesian airlines have also adopted a sophisticated booking system, with electronic tickets, and a system of payment by the local ATM. Prices are based on the European model, depending on the season, and for how long you book in Council, may be different. Consumers in Indonesia are updated by the airlines, receive plain text messages offering "special" routes and some passengers can relax in private lounges provided by airlines, if they become members of their "club."

The advantages of transparent policy in Indonesia skies of recession the country is protected, and has created hundreds of thousands of jobs. Companies are expanding throughout Indonesia, to meet the growing demand in the islands of commerce and tourism. But the main advantage was the same for Indonesians, who can now easily visit there loved ones, and move faster to look for work or for the latest job opportunities. International tourism, and is expected to increase the knowledge of this silent revolution is expected to attract thousands of visitors - who can now directly reach most destinations in Indonesia, in a few hours.
