how to minimize apps in nokia s40 mobile


Applications can be minimized in Nokia S60 versions by pressing the Home Key.
But in case of S40 it was impossible but there is a trick with which you can minimize the Java Applications in Nokia S40 as well.


There are Basically 2 Major[But Easy] steps.
1]Edit the product profile.ie. disable phone security.
2]Edit Java application.

1-Download JAF on pc.
2-Connect your Phone with pc in PC-Suite Mode.
3-run pkey emulator,tick the following tabs  then click go.

you will get a error msg but it is ok.


4-Open JAF and go to BB5 Tab.
5-Tick the following.
              a-Read pp.
               b-Normal Mode.
              c-CRT 308(Already Ticked).
6-Now Click Service.

7-Save the *.pp file on Desktop.
8-Open the *.pp file in Notepad.
9-In case the Phone is-
a-Nokia s40 v3 then Search for 28 1 line and change it to 28 2
b-Nokia s40 v5 or v6 then Search for 48 and change it to 48 2
c-In case there is no 48 or 28 then add the Appropriate line i.e 48 2 or 28 2.
10. SAVE your editted *.PP file, then Upload it to your phone



11. Then, in "phone model" box choose "Normal Mode", after that your phone will automatically restart.and show Test in RNDIS USB mode? Press NO. This popup will be shown on every restart this is normal..

Now we have successfully disabled the Nokia Security wall.
Edit Java Application.
Steps
1-Copy the Java(.jar) application to the computer.
2-Open the *.
jar file with WinRAR.
3-Browse to Meta-Inf Folder and Open it.
4-Open the Manifest.MF file in Notepad.
5-At the end of the codes add this line 
Nokia-MIDlet-no-exit: true
6-Save the notepad file.
7-Click on Yes when WinRAR asks to Update the Archive.
8-Copy the *.jar file to Nokia.
 
To Minimize the Application Open the application and press the Red button once.To Restore the Application Go to the folder where the application is and then press on the application once.

TOOLS THAT YOU NEED FIRST.
1.JAF WITH EMULATOR
2.PPMOD
3.HOME SCREEN ENTRIES
4.VariantsDefaults.WXML

>>For S40 v5 and v6
 1.First of All u need to Activate Orange Home Screen To Show It On ur "Display Settings Option".

2.To activate OHS ,
 download "VariantsDefault.wxml"
3.now Open Ur Phone Using OXYCUBE then Goto SYSTEM FOLDER  c:\Isasetting\variantFOR default\

4.Now Delet(or Keep Backup) the existing File and Paste "variantsDefault.wxml" and Exit. and u DONE!
>>For S40 V3

1.open jaf
2.go to bb5 Tab. and Tick the following...
          a) normal mod
          b) c 308
          c) read pp
  and then click on service button
3.seve the pp file
4.open with notpad
5.now u can find that word "145 0"
6.change it to 145 1 if not then dont change jst Add "145 1" below "145 0"
now save it.

Now u hv to Upload that Modded .pp file whch u hv saved before...
1.open jaf
2.go to bb5 and tick the following...
a) normal mod
b) c 308
c) upload pp
3.and then click on service 

4.NOW your mobile will go to test mode.
a new pop up window ask you to  select the modded pp File.
5.select the new one then wait 5 sec.
6.now open the battery and restart the phone.
or you can bring the phone to normal mode by clicking on the side tab of jaf.



Now In ur Phone Goto settings>display setting>and activate Orange Homescreen (the Option will be created).

but in orange Home Screen The Text Will Not Present, To enter The Text Follow the Below Steps,


1.DOWN LOAD the ppm file of your mobile by navifirmware.
2.rum ppmod and open the ppm file with it.
3.now go to text then click on 'edit content' on the right side corner.
4.wait 3-4 min.
5.now a table will be displayed.scroll down near about 1200.
6.then search for orange home screen.
5.now fill up the blank spaces below with the entries given in the home screen entries text file.
6.now flush your mobile with that edited ppm file with the help of jaf.

how to change font of nokia s40 mobile



Now change the defult font of your nokia mobile and give a new look to your mobile.
You have to edit the firmware of your mobile or which you knw as mobile software.
Then you have to flush it to your mobile.

First you have to download few tools to edit your mobile firmware.
Dont worry,i have given their download link just below.

Use other fonts from net at your own risk)

step 1.

Run navifirm ,select your mobile,version,product code to download firmware of your mobile.

Step2.

Now run Ppmod.click on open a tree.then browse your firmware files and open the ppm file.
Ppm file is named   like rm561_v9.56.ppm_mh.

 
Step3
wait 5sec to load the tree. Now expand the tree ,and click on PPM.
Then click on VFNT.

Step4 
.you can see some suchunks named  as DIGI,CNDS,RGLR,STSB,SBNL. 


Step5 
.now right click one by one and click on emport from binary ,then select your .ttf font in pop up window.
 
Step6.
after changed your fonts,click on creat PPM option.wait few sec. Then save it.

Step7
now your ppm file is ready.flush it to your mobile with the MCU file..

Remember!
=mobile flushing is risky if you dont know about it perfectly.
=if you are using windows 7 then change the compatibility of ppmod.exe and trix.exe to windows xp.other wise ppmod will crash at time of loading the ppm file.
=you have to use the perfect version of ppm and mcu file to idit and flush to your mobile.
=during font change the value of some subchunk will automatically deleted,so to avoid this problem save the ppm file after changing every ttf files.
=keep in your mind that the font size is normal because large font cant be display perfectly in your mobile.
=check that all other sub chunk of tree are remain unchanged after editing it.
